Sup, I figured I'd start this blog post with a word that meant hello but wasn't as informal and lazy as yo. I’m Dylan. I work at Strike and together with our team I’m pumped to welcome you to the Strike Store.

I’m incredibly excited to bring the Strike Store to you all by launching our Genesis Collection inspired by the first bitcoin block mined by Satoshi Nakamoto and the halving.

At Strike we live by the design principles of what we call internally - PUBBO - PUBBO stands for Punk, Unconventional, Beautiful, Bitcoin, and Open.

PUBBO isn't just the coolest acronym you’ve ever seen, it's a design philosophy that guides our identity, from completely redesigning our products to redefining the way we interact with bitcoin and money in one, simple, beautiful app, to every other aspect of our brand. It’s our pillar. Now certain areas are heavily dominated by certain degrees within PUBBO. Think of it like a radial convergence graph (i'm smart) or in layman's terms - a spider graph (I had to google both of these). Take for example our app; Strike leans more towards beautiful, bitcoin, and open, but it’s all black with a hint of pink, hence punk and unconventional (and likely unlike any other money app you’ve ever seen).

With the Strike Store we wanted to lean heavily into this idea of pushing the edges of the brand. The Strike Store is our rabbit hole, our Nevada Test Site. We will use this space to explore the fringe edges of PUBBO and apply them to designing very well crafted Bitcoin items. While this launch is dominated by clothing, we intend to launch all sorts of things out of our Store as we continue to explore aimlessly and without limits. We will put out cool stuff. We will put out bad stuff. You all will tell us which is which. And we will iterate and get better. As some of you might know by now, we love your feedback.

Eventually the Strike Store will become a place where Bitcoiners acquire items to display with pride who they are, what they represent, and how they show up in the world. Whether it's with a hat, a water bottle, a sticker, beer mugs, shoes we don't actually know yet. And that to me is the beauty of it.

I hope you enjoy what we put out as much as I enjoy building it with the Strike team.
