You can send cash value to other Strike users or to Bitcoin or Lightning wallets. To send cash, visit your Cash screen and follow the steps:

Send to a Strike user

1. Tap Send
2. Select Username
3. Enter your recipient’s username
4. Enter the cash amount
5. Confirm the send

When you send cash to another Strike user, this is carried out through the Bitcoin Lightning network. The cash will be converted to bitcoin, sent through Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, then either converted back into cash or maintained as bitcoin (depending on your recipient’s settings), and delivered to your recipient.

Send to a Bitcoin or Lightning wallet

1. Tap Send
2. Select Bitcoin wallet
3. Scan or paste the recipient’s Bitcoin address, LNURL, or Lightning invoice QR code
4. Enter the cash amount (if applicable)
5. For on-chain transactions, select your preferred delivery time
6. Confirm the send

Note: When you send funds and a currency conversion is involved (e.g., AUD to BTC), Strike applies a 1% spread.

For quick access to send to a Bitcoin or Lightning wallet, you can find the QR code scanner in the top left of your Cash screen. When sending to a Bitcoin or Lightning wallet, your cash will be sent, converted to bitcoin, and then delivered to the recipient. Please note, sending via an on-chain transaction may take additional time to complete, depending on the delivery time you select.
