How do I set my default receiving currency as cash or bitcoin?

When someone sends you a payment that you didn’t request, you can set your Strike app to receive either to your cash or bitcoin balance by default. This means when someone initiates a payment to your Lightning address, Bitcoin address, tipping page, or username, the funds will be received as your default receiving currency.

To change your default receive currency, follow these steps:

  1. Tap Account
  2. Select Bitcoin
  3. Tap Receive currency
  4. Select “Cash” or “Bitcoin”

From then on, when someone sends you a payment, the funds will be delivered to your new default receiving currency. Payment requests that you initiate will still be received in the requested currency.

Please note that bitcoin payments in amounts less than 1 cent will always be delivered as bitcoin. You can switch this setting between cash and bitcoin at any time.
