# Can I retrieve collateral from an open loan or line of credit?

You can access part of your bitcoin collateral before [closing your loan](/support/how-do-i-close-a-loan-or-line-of-credit) as long as:

- Your loan is more than 60 days old.
- The LTV is currently 40% or lower
- The LTV stays below 50% after the retrieval

On the [mobile](https://links.strike.me/live-app) or [web app](https://dashboard.strike.me), open the loan you want to retrieve collateral from and go to the “Manage your loan” section.

Once you confirm retrieval, your collateral will be returned to your bitcoin balance and will be available to send or withdraw.
