# How do I earn referral rewards?

You earn referral rewards both when you join Strike using a friend’s referral code and when someone signs up with your code and buys bitcoin. The reward is a set amount of fee-free trading for both of you, in your own local currency:
- If you’re in the US and your friend is in Europe, you earn $500 in fee-free trading and your friend earns €500, and vice-versa.
- If either of you are in another [supported country](/support/where-is-strike-available), each earns $100 in waived fees.
- If one of you is in the UK, neither of you will be able to earn rewards by referring or being referred by the other.
## How to sign up with a referral code
When entering your email during [signup](/support/how-do-i-create-an-account) on the mobile app, tap “Add invite code”. You’ll see “Invited by” and the username of the person who referred you, confirming that the code has been applied.
After you verify your account, you can trade with waived fees, whether on [one-time buys and sells](/support/how-do-i-buy-or-sell-bitcoin), [target orders](/support/how-do-i-set-target-orders), or [recurring purchases](/support/how-do-i-schedule-recurring-purchases). On the “bitcoin” tab of the mobile app, tap the [“traded this month”](/support/what-are-the-trading-fees) card to see how much you can trade with 0% fees.
## How to refer friends
On the mobile app, tap the icon in the upper right corner:
1. Tap the “Invite friends, trade without fees” button.
2. Copy your invite link, or tap “Invite friends” to share your referral code.
Once your friend signs up with your code, you’ll receive a notification and see them listed as “Pending” when you tap the icon in the upper-right corner of the referral program screen. Once they **make their first trade**, they’ll move to “Completed”, and you’ll be able to see how much of your next trades are waived.
