How do I set up two-factor authentication?

You can add an extra layer of security to your Strike account by enabling 2-factor authentication (2FA), which requires a temporary code, generated by an authenticator app to log in. Once enabled, 2FA is required for logging back into your account after you've logged out, but not if you simply close the app.

How to set up 2FA:

Before setting up 2-factor authentication for your Strike account, you’ll need to get an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator. Once you’ve got an authenticator app, visit your Account screen and follow these steps:

  1. Select Security
  2. Toggle the “Enable 2FA”
  3. Pair your Strike account with your authenticator app by either pasting the provided setup key into your authenticator app or scanning the QR code.
  4. Once paired, your authenticator app will generate a temporary 6-digit code, which you must use in the Strike app to complete the 2FA enabling process.

As a final step, you will be presented with a set of recovery codes. These codes let you recover your account if you lose access to your authenticator app. It’s important to store these codes securely offline, as these codes can each be used once to recover your account.

Once 2FA is enabled, You will be required to enter a 2FA code from your authenticator app every time you log in, including logging into the Strike Dashboard.

How to disable 2FA:

To disable your 2-factor authentication, follow the same steps as enabling, except toggle the “Enable 2FA” button off. To complete the disabling, you will need to enter a 2FA code to confirm. Disabling 2FA

Remember, never share your 2FA codes or recovery codes with anyone. These codes are sensitive pieces of information that are used to gain access to your Strike account and should be known only to you. Strike will never ask for these codes, your PIN, password, or email confirmation code.

If you suspect unauthorized activity on your account, contact support@strike.me immediately.
