To withdraw bitcoin to an external wallet, send it on-chain or over Lightning.

How to set up automatic withdrawals

Go to your “Account” screen, select “Bitcoin” and “Auto-withdrawal”, then toggle automatic withdrawals on. Then:

  1. Set a threshold between 1,000,000 sats (₿0.01) to 500,000,000 sats (₿5.0) to trigger a withdrawal
  2. Reserve any amount to keep on your balance as you reach thresholds
  3. Add one or more Bitcoin addresses

Once the threshold is hit, you have 12 hours to cancel a queued withdrawal. Strike broadcasts the transaction within 24 hours of reaching the threshold, with no fees.

You can cancel, pause, change the threshold, or add more addresses at any time. If you add more than one, each withdrawal goes to the next address in your list until all are used, then defaults to the last address until you add more.

How to auto-withdraw to Bitkey

If you use Bitkey, you can link it to your account to withdraw funds automatically, without copying and pasting addresses. Strike and Bitkey verify each other before sharing or accepting any address, so no bad actor can intercept or substitute your withdrawal address, which helps guard against clipboard attacks and address spoofing. To link on iOS, make sure the Bitkey app is not hidden.
